About Laboratory

    In 1970, the sector mechanization of forage preparation was created in the laboratory of fattening farms mechanization. The head of the sector was a candidate of technical sciences V.A. Golikov. In 1975, on the basis of the sector, a laboratory of electromechanization for the preparation and distribution of feed was organized. From 1975 to 1992, the laboratory was headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor V.A. Golikov.

    From 1992 to 2007, the laboratory was headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences T. Abiljanuly.

    Since 2015, the laboratory of processes mechanization in animal breeding was founded again, which from 2015 to 2016 was headed by the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Toktar Abiljanuly. Since January of 2017, the laboratory was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences Daniyar Tokhtarovich Abilzhanov.

    The laboratory team (V.A. Golikov, T. Abiljanuly, A.A. Alekseek, O.B. Pashevkin, M.G. Khabibullin, A.S. Erokhin) together with the design office created the following machines: high-performance forage shredder DIK-100 with electric drive and capacity of 100 kW for large livestock farms; continuous food mixers C-20 and C-40 electromagnetic food separator ES-6 On the basis of these machines, a set of equipment for a high-efficiency feed processing  room KCO-15 was developed, which successfully passed acceptance tests and was recommended for batch production. More than 130 sets of equipment for feed processing rooms KCО-15 were built at the experimental plant of KazRIMEA and other enterprises, which were installed at the farms all over the Kazakhstan.

    The laboratory staff (V.A. Golikov, T. Abiljanuly, A.A. Alexeek) were awarded with silver medals at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR and the KazSSR for the development and introduction of the feed processing room KCO-15. In subsequent years, the following equipment was developed: feed processing room KCO-20 feed processing plant APK-40 rough feed grinder IM-1

    In 2001-2005  under the guidance of T. Abilzhanuly  the following machines were developed: compact crusher DIK-1,5, feed mixer SK-1, universal crusher DU-11; compact unit AKM-5,5 and the line for preparation of mixed fodders LPK-1,0. machines were introduced in farms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2016 certification tests of DIK-1.5 and DU-11 crushers were carried out. Declarations of compliance were received for the production of  the developed batch.

     Later, as a part of the laboratory of forage machinery, T. Abiljanuly began to revive the subject of developing forage machines. Based on the results of the research work, the parameters of the universal pick-up shredder and the lines for preparing vitamin-grass meal from the leaf part of the grasses were justified. The production tests of experimental samples of the universal pick-up shredder and the line for the preparation of vitamin-grass meal were carried out. As a result of the test, the effectiveness of the proposed technologies for harvesting grained hay and preparing vitamin-grass meal from the leaf part of grasses without high-temperature drying was proved, as well as the efficiency of the developed machines.

    Based on these developments, preliminary tests of wide pick-up shredder have been carried out, also experimental studies have been carried out to justify the parameters of the mobile aggregate for preparing feed distribution in small-scale farming conditions. The laboratory develops the following projects: technology and experimental model of mobile aggregate for the preparation and distribution of full-scale feed mixtures in small farms; resource-saving technologies and a prototype of a wide-pick-up shredder for harvesting grained hay and haylage.

    Scientists of the laboratory together with the designers have developed 21 machines, sets of equipment for feed processing rooms KCО-15 and КCО-20, lines for preparation of mixed fodders LPK-1,0 and vitamin-grass meal LVM-0,5. The developed machines are introduced in the farms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Russian Federation and Ukraine. The laboratory received more than 30 author's certificates and patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and published 400 articles and 11 books.  

Research direction

  • Development of harvesting technologies of grained hay for winter stock and forage harvester that provides harvesting of grained hay, haylage and corn silage
  • Development of technologies and technical means for preparing vitamin-grass meal from the leaf part of the grasses without the use of high-temperature drying
  • Development of technologies and technical means for preparing and distributing feed mixtures in small-scale farms
  • Development of feed preparation aggregates and carrying out the research of shredding processes of rough and grain forages, feed mixing
